Filmed in the Maraya Concert Hall in the heart of the AlUla desert and produced by Degel Prod, the musical program Sous les étoiles d’AlUla will be broadcast on TV5MONDE on March 24th at 9pm
On the occasion of International Francophonie Day and as part of the friendship between France and Saudi Arabia, Sous les étoiles d’AlUla, dedicated to French songs and co-presented by French TV presenter Laury Thilleman and Saudi comedian and writer Fatima Al-Banawi, will be broadcast on TV5MONDE on March 24th at 9 pm.
Filmed live in the Maraya Concert Hall – an award-winning architectural wonder – on March 7th, proposed by Degel Prod and TV5MONDE, organized by the French Agency for AlUla Development (AFALULA), and supported by the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU), the event was attended by nearly 500 spectators, including local residents, RCU collaborators, the French community in AlUla, as well as Saudis from Jeddah, Medina, Tabūk, and Riyadh.
The audience had the opportunity to attend musical performances by renowned French and Saudi artists, alternating between Franco-Saudi duets and the Arab and French soloists. The artists joined forces to perform a range of traditional songs, accompanied by an orchestra made up of traditional Arab musicians, artists from the symphony orchestra of Riyadh, and a French rhythmic group.
You will find interpretations by the biggest names in French music: Carla Bruni, Gims, Yanns, Chimène Badi, Hélène Seguara, Enrico Macias, Gilbert Montagné, Claudio Capeo, and Farrah Eldinaby as well as three world-renowned Saudi artists: Dalia Mubarak, Zena Emaad, and Sultan AlMurshed.
A tribute to the friendship between France and Saudi Arabia, Sous les étoiles d’AlUla brings together audiences and artists in celebration of this cultural alliance through art and song.
